Evidence to suggest Keith got hold of the camera......

i open the camera, and this is what i see.

but he got this one too...
and i know because of how close he is to the subject...i'm not that short. and i don't remember taking it. that helps too =)
yay!! this is my newly refinished (OLD) desk. carolyn's mom died recently. this desk belonged to her. it was made by her second husband who was a shop teacher. it looked pretty dated when she gave it to us. it was a lot lighter and the pulls were so ugly. the feet (on the bottom right) still date it terribly, but we plan on replacing those with something more square. anywho, i'm so excited to have a desk with drawers! that's one more box unpacked and out of the way. isn't it pretty? paul did such a great job huh?
love it.

next is the old dresser that used to be in amanda and jen's room. this time i will remember to take "before" pictures.

*Sigh*

i restarted my period today. that last year-plus has been really nice. oh well, guess it had to come back at some point.

on the bright side, my period means i'm not pregnant, right? hahaha.

Two Sick Kids

Yesterday Alexa was feeling pretty crummy. She wasn't her usual smiley self and was not sleeping well at all. It didn't seem like a big thing. She was a little warm with a slightly runny nose, but that was it. She didn't sleep well last night. She seems to be feeling a little better today, but still not very good.

Keith came in this morning...then threw up on the floor...and his blanket...and his foot...pretty much everywhere. Paul gave him milk for breakfast. What was he thinking? He threw up again a few minutes ago. Most of it this time, however, was not caught by his precious bobby...which means my floor has vomit all over it.

Why, oh why, didn't I invest in a wet-dry vac when I first decided I needed one?

At least Alexa hasn't been puking everywhere...keeping my fingers crossed.

For the first time since my very first phone, I got a cell phone that I not only like, but that I actually wanted...and I love it as much as I hoped I would. Yay for new phones!

Keith is THREE!

Keith turned three on Friday. Wow, it's so hard to believe. It's harder to believe I've been married for over 5 years already. Time just flies.

I think he had a very good birthday. I made him some chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and taught him how to sing "happy birthday to me". He was singing it all day, with the occassional different name thrown in (like Lissa or Nate, mostly). Speaking of which, Lissa and Nate left Keith a little webcam message on Facebook and sang to him. He must've watched that video 20 times. And every single time when they said "happy birthday keith!" at the end he would tell them happy birthday too. He's such a polite little child, haha.

David and Christy sent him a card through the mail that got here like Wednesday or Thursday and that had a $10 gift card for Target in it. Paul's parents came over on Friday and brought him a new shirt and shorts (which will probably not fit until next summer, but the shirt does!) and then gave him another $10 cash. So, in the afternoon Paul and I took him to Target and let him pick out a toy.

Friday night Doug and Becky and the kids came over and brought a cake and a gift and balloons, which all the kids loved. And Tiffany Netzley brought her two little boys too. It was kind of madness here at the house for awhile, even after Tiffany and her two boys left. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures, because we don't have a card for our camera right now. Bummer, but it was a lot of fun. Doug and Becky stayed until midnight, and I think we were both paying for it Saturday, but we had a good time talking and hanging out. We don't get to see each other a whole lot since we live an hour away from each other so it was nice for them to come visit.

Overall, it was a great day, and I think Keith really enjoyed it. Next year he will definitely know what it means when we tell him his birthday is coming up. He's growing up so fast. He's always wanting to help with everything now and is constantly singing. Where does the time go?
