Keith is THREE!

Keith turned three on Friday. Wow, it's so hard to believe. It's harder to believe I've been married for over 5 years already. Time just flies.

I think he had a very good birthday. I made him some chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and taught him how to sing "happy birthday to me". He was singing it all day, with the occassional different name thrown in (like Lissa or Nate, mostly). Speaking of which, Lissa and Nate left Keith a little webcam message on Facebook and sang to him. He must've watched that video 20 times. And every single time when they said "happy birthday keith!" at the end he would tell them happy birthday too. He's such a polite little child, haha.

David and Christy sent him a card through the mail that got here like Wednesday or Thursday and that had a $10 gift card for Target in it. Paul's parents came over on Friday and brought him a new shirt and shorts (which will probably not fit until next summer, but the shirt does!) and then gave him another $10 cash. So, in the afternoon Paul and I took him to Target and let him pick out a toy.

Friday night Doug and Becky and the kids came over and brought a cake and a gift and balloons, which all the kids loved. And Tiffany Netzley brought her two little boys too. It was kind of madness here at the house for awhile, even after Tiffany and her two boys left. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures, because we don't have a card for our camera right now. Bummer, but it was a lot of fun. Doug and Becky stayed until midnight, and I think we were both paying for it Saturday, but we had a good time talking and hanging out. We don't get to see each other a whole lot since we live an hour away from each other so it was nice for them to come visit.

Overall, it was a great day, and I think Keith really enjoyed it. Next year he will definitely know what it means when we tell him his birthday is coming up. He's growing up so fast. He's always wanting to help with everything now and is constantly singing. Where does the time go?

We had fun with you guys! We should make it up there more often. Keilana and Dylan are always happy to have an excuse to "cook"--its one of their favorite activities. Sorry we forgot our camera, but I did get a couple of photos of Kylie and Alexa. I'll have to send them to you.

What toy did he pick out?

It IS hard to believe that he is three and that you have been married for 5 years! It seems like yesterday that I was student teaching at your elementary school! So yah, I feel old :)
I love that we can read each other's blogs, see pictures, and know a little about each other now! So cool!
