Mystery solved

so after a much too long time of a poor red and itchy bum we finally took alexa to the doctor today. i was convinced it was a yeast infection, though why it hadn't gotten better with over the counter yeast remedies for women i couldn't figure. so i expected paul to come home with a prescription. however, he came home with three. i know, bad mommy here.

one for a yeast infection, one for a bacterial infection, and one for an iron deficiency (who knew?) this would explain why the over the counter medication DID in fact make it better but didn't take away the whole problem, and then because it wasn't treated vigorously enough the yeast infection came back. my poor little girl. i just can't imagine myself going that long living with that pain. she's just so happy i didn't figure it was a huge issue. plus, like i said, at one point it seemed to be getting better. i guess i got really lucky with one happy little girl. god must've known i needed it. my patience is...well...let's just say it's lacking. there are days when i just want to tear my hair out.

and then...we got a puppy. "what's this?" you ask? i don't know. i must be crazy. paul always wants a dog desperately, but let's be real, i always have to do the work. he's not home and even when he is, dog training's not a strong suit for him. not that it's great for me either, but i do know a little more than him about it.

ugh. i must be crazy...or at least i'm working my way there not so slowly.

oh and by the way, my little 9 month old baby's only 16 lbs. the doctor told paul "she's a little small." lol, well yeah, we knew that.

seriously how is a mom suppose to know all these things? I only learned recently that yeast could cause diaper rash, although Parker never got that part. She is really small though Parker is about ready to pass her up:) My little niece is 16 months though and only 19 lbs, they all just come in diff packages I guess. Well good luck with dog training, good to start young. My dog has gotten better with age but he still likes to play rough which makes it really hard with a baby. Well Alexa probably feels like a whole new woman, hope she continues to get feeling better( it also can give them a belly ache which you probably already knew)
