Baby A is now 15 oz. (SO close to a lb. just one more little ounce...) and Baby B is 13. So they're still a little different, but close enough there's nothing to worry about. Growing strong and moving a LOT. It's strange cause Baby B moves more but I feel him less. (He's turned right side up and then upside down again in the last month.) Still working on names.........
apparently i dislike mondays so much that i try to skip them every week. it never works, but my mind still persists in believing it's tuesday pretty much every monday morning. what's up with that?

Conversation with Keith

Me: "I gotta cook cause tomorrow's Thanksgiving!"

Keith: "YEAH!"

Me: "Do you know what that means?"

Keith: "Yeah."

Me: "What does that mean?"

Keith: "Eating!"

Guess he pays more attention than I realized... =)

she finally got up the courage to try some.

daddy gave her a little.

gotta have milk with your chocolate cake...

aww, that's refreshing.

little bit more cake......

and then she's done.

the victim

Honesty time

When I say I'm concerned about what's going to happen financially when the twins come, that is true. However, truthfully I'm not really concerned that Heavenly Father doesn't have a solution for us. If I'm really honest, my concern is that I won't like His solution. I don't want to have to move out of our house. And now you know. So when I talk about it and seem discouraged and you say "you just have to have faith Christa!" just know, I have faith. . .enough faith (and experience) to know that I may not like what comes next, because whatever it is, we'll do it.

22 weeks, 2 days

It's funny how you see yourself in the mirror and then you see yourself in a picture and you look totally different to yourself. I just kept thinking I didn't feel or look much bigger looking in the mirror. It's been awhile since I took pictures so I had Paul take some before I left for choir practice, then I looked at them. Yeah, I have definitely gotten bigger! It's funny to look at this one next to the older ones. My pubic bone is already starting to be sore from bruising. Great...

Click on this one to look at it big. Keith's tongue is sticking out and he looks awesome.

ONE

Yes, Alexa is officially one today. Where has the time gone? It doesn't feel like that long ago I was in the hospital crossing my fingers that she would be a little miracle baby for me and come the way babies were meant to.

I had such a great day at the temple. What a beautiful day and wonderful way to spend half a saturday. Carolyn came and picked me up--way early--so we chatted in the car in the parking lot for awhile before the session. It was good to catch up because we haven't seen each other in quite awhile. I was glad she asked me to go with her. She needed it (she said), I needed it, and we could all use a little more temple time. . .well most of us anyway. And I'm pretty sure the time is running out quickly until I am too uncomfortable to sit through an entire session.

A woman in Carolyn's ward was going through for her first time, and Aunt Margaret happened to be her escort. The four of us decided to go do lunch after the session. What a great time we had! Much laughter and smiling (and good food ;) was had by all.

During all that Paul was helping a friend move, so when I was done eating, I picked up my kids and headed to the new homestead. It was nice just hanging with some good friends today too.

I feel so blessed!

I'm grateful for:

*Relief Society and the good friends I've met through it

*having two cars in a city this size

*a husband who delights in taking care of his children

*hot showers

*jobs

*weekends

*birthdays and cake

*grocery stores that carry everything we need to feed ourselves and our children

Thankful

Here's another part of my gratitude list:

*a very smiley, very happy baby 90% of the time

*a husband who would rather drive the "crappy" car with no A/C or heat so his kids and wife can be comfortable in the "good" car

*warm chocolate chip cookies

*amazing friends who aren't at all "fair-weather" friends

*the temple and the wonderful calming effect it has on my mood and soul

*a wonderful mom who tries hard to make contact with all of her kids frequently and have meaningful conversations

*rain

I think we got a keeper.

(keith will do anything to get in a picture... =)

I almost can't believe...

...that it's already almost halfway through November and Thanksgiving is in two weeks. Where has the time gone? So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving/November/a general need to express my gratitude more, here is a short part of my gratitude list:

*in-laws who are very supportive, especially a father-in-law who will do almost anything for us including driving all the way across town to bring us something we want to borrow

*A husband who works ridiculously hard to take care of his family, even when he's sick/it's raining/he has no job to speak of, you-name-it

*my nice warm house on a cold night

*super awesome friends in my ward who look for any way to help out

*modern medicine

*happy children who love me even when i screw up

*a clean house!

*a husband who takes the kids to the store just to pick up some milk so i can get a few minutes alone to recharge

*cold, clean water and lots of it

Baby News

Had another (regular, not specialist) doc appointment today, and got a little good news. I've been reading around a lot about bed rest and the number of women who go onto bed rest with multiples. It's a very high number, so I've been kind of concerned about the possibility of that happening to me, especially with the two I've already gotta take care of. I asked today. They said their bed rest policy is the same with multiples as it is with singletons so basically, pre-term labor, bleeding, cramping, etc. This is very good news to me! So, let's just keep my fingers crossed that this pregnancy follows the pattern of the other two and I have no problems like that!

Fun fact: I'm about 20 weeks pregnant, which means I should be measuring about 20 cm plus or minus 2. I'm measuring 27. Nice huh. Good to know the babies are growing well! One has also moved so now they're facing each other instead of going opposite directions.

Everything looks good!

Wal-Mart Cake

I got forwarded this in an e-mail and Paul and I laughed so hard I just HAD to share it. Enjoy. Hope it lightens up your day just a little.

Make sure you read the text under the picture.

Wal-Mart Cake
It took me a second, but make sure you read the story under the picture.
Keep in mind this actually happened.
This cake is for someone who was moving .

Okay so this is how I imagine this conversation went:

Walmart Employee:
'Hello 'dis be Walmarts, how can I help you?'

Customer:
' I would like to order a cake for a going away party this week.'

Walmart Employee:
'What you want on da cake?'

Customer:
'Best Wishes Suzanne' and underneath that 'We will miss you'.

STOP LAUGHING!

You can't fix stupid

Quote of the Day (or week, or year...whatever)

A friend posted this quote on her FB status and I very much liked it. Thought I'd share.

"The healthiest human emotion is not love but gratitude. It actually increases your immunities. It makes you more resistant to stress and less susceptible to illness. People who are grateful are happy. But people who are ungrateful are miserable because nothing makes them happy. They're never satisfied. It's never good enough. So if you cultivate the attitude of gratitude it reduces stress in your life."

Halloween 2009!

taylor and keith leaving a house. keith was pretty happy!

my little cornball knight.

check out my sword!

two of the three babies

she was so tired! but didn't cry all night.

my little duckie!

i noticed both of my kids so a lot of open-mouthed smiles...

it was a very fun night. the kids had fun trick or treating and wishing mimi happy birthday!

Ultrasound photos

They gave me over 30 photos, seriously. But let's be honest, ultrasound photos are not REALLY all that exciting, but I had to share a few so, here they are.

Faces of both babies. Baby A is on my right, head up. Baby B is on my left, head down.

Here's their profiles. Funny you can actually see a little foot from the brother in each of them.

They're definitely both boys!

And this photo is just cool. Check out that entire hand of Baby B! Paul said "looks like he's holding a trumpet." Oh yeah, that's right!

Later on, they will do some 4D when the babies get bigger. She tried it this time, but they're just too skinny.

Vintage Christa...

...to steal a phrase from bb. these are just for kicks. found them on my mom's computer while looking for other stuff, and thought i'd share some.

1st Birthday

1st Haircut Before & After. I think I was about 18 months.

I dunno. Fun studio pictures. Don't know how old. I could probably find it, but don't want to right now. Looks to be around similar time as haircut.
